The Super Crew UK also plan to deliver half and full day sessions with small groups of children which will include:
Half Day:
Story Time – Our author takes time to sit and read one of the adventure books from The Super Crew series with small classes or groups of children. The books are aimed at children of all ages, although they sit best within Key Stage 1 & lower Key Stage 2. For children with additional needs, our stories will suit children of all ages depending on their individual needs.
Discussion – Facilitating small group discussions based on the particular story, our author guides the children in exploring what life might be like for others who may have additional needs with a focus on hidden disabilities.
Craft Activities – Children will have the opportunity to colour and create their own superhero’s and scenes, exploring how they could use their own skills and knowledge for the greater good.
Every child that attends the half day session will receive a Super Crew certificate and hero medal.
Full Day:
Full day sessions can consist of a full day with 1 group or, 2 half day sessions with 2 groups
Story Time – Similar to the half day session, only this time our author is able to read two books from The Super Crew series, which are structured between story and discussion time.
Discussion – Facilitating small group discussions based on a particular story, our author guides the children in exploring what life might be like for others who may have additional needs with a focus on hidden disabilities. This subtle yet high impact session also explores feelings, emotions and keeping ourselves safe through positive relationships.
Craft Activities – Children have an extended opportunity to not only colour and create their own superhero’s and scenes, but will also be guided through the process of creating their very own story boards, firing up their imaginations and immersing themselves into a mindset of care and compassion for themselves and for others.
Games & Role-play – In this additional session, children will be able to take part in active and competitive games after being split into teams. Each team will compete against their peers before creating their very own superhero scenario and acting it out for their friends to see.
Every child that attends the full day session will receive a Super Crew certificate, hero medal and a copy of one book from The Super Crew series
