Who are we:
Kieran, the author and creator of The Super Crew is also a senior social worker based in the West Midlands UK. He and his wife Rachel have three children each with their own wonderful personalities and uniqueness. Following a diagnosis of severe Dyspraxia for their second child in 2016, they began researching developmental disorders and ways to support their children.
Kieran found that whilst there is a large amount information, research and advice for professionals, there is a lack of friendly and accessible information for younger children. Because of this, Kieran was led to create a series of short stories that would help his own child understand the difficulties he was experiencing in his day to day life.
What we do:
The Super Crew books are designed to educate children on ‘hidden disabilities’ and their own unique differences. They have an anti-bullying theme and celebrate multi-cultural differences with a focus on teamwork, inclusion, self-confidence and independence.
This series of short and exciting stories will capture the imagination of children and expand their understanding of the world around them, whether they themselves have a disability or they recognise the struggles their peers face within school.
Here at Super Crew HQ we want to engage children from an early age to promote understanding and acceptance that every child is unique and every child has value. Through our website you can access information whether you are a parent, carer or professional, and your child can also download free content including games, pictures and puzzles in our Kids Zone.
